Collecting garbage pays the bills

It's rare for people to make a living out of something they're most passionate about, because most of the time, we are passionate about the things with very little financial success. The story of you, me, and everyone we know.

There are, of-course, the lucky ones (I'm looking at you, Young Achiever Kim Chiu), but the chances of you becoming the next PBB sensation is 1 in 100 million. No thanks to our booming population.

So we resort to jobs we have little interest in. Jobs that can feed us. Jobs that will give us beer money, so we could get drunk and forget about the job who provided for us in the first place. It's why we dread Sunday nights; knowing that in a few hours, another work week is about to begin. It's why we leave the office with a smile on our faces, come Friday. It's why we blow our money on road trips and plane tickets. It's why we opt to choose life instead of worrying about every, little thing.

We all have to remember that we are not alone. We are one in a thousand, wanna-be poets. We are one in a thousand, wanna-be rock stars. We are one in a million, wanna-be relevant.

You don't have to be famous to write your own songs. You don't have to be known to write a book. You don't have to have an audience to do whatever it is that you want.

Collecting garbage pays the bills, but this keeps me sane.

  1. Thank you for the tip. I always drop by whenever I need motivation. Maybe you should try counseling? IDK.
